6 I would first recommend at least the following use flags:

10 For software speech, after you have the kernel configured, compiled and
11 installed, while you are in the croot, give this command:

13 emerge espeakup

15 That will install the espeakup connector and speakup.

17 Then, add this line to /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6:

21 Then, give this command:

23 rc-update add espeakup default

25 That will set espeakup to start automatically.
