GMANE provides an alternative service for most mailing lists. c.f. bug 424647
my computer is freezing during shutdown (both -r or -h) on "unmounting filesystems . . .".
i tried going back to an older kernel and i tried disabling devfs, but the same result.
I'm using 1.4rc1 on an IBM k6-2. any other info helpful?
