I found the solution in the Gentoo Forums

I need to emerge an older version of sys-libs/db (db-1.85 to be exact) into
another slot.

I'm not familiar with slots in emerge, can anyone give me some pointer or a
link to instructions?

You appear to be using "-jN" where N>1. The error is not in the output
you pasted.
