That's about right. But you really want to "provide" postfix, right? As
far as I got it, you don't care about ssmtp if you can convince portage
not to install it.

Try for yourself. Put mail-mta/ssmtp-2.60 in package.provided and see if
you'll get an upgrade to 2.61 with emerge -pud (or -aud) world.
