Gentoo/Alpha announces the end of 2.4 alpha support in our distribution. |

All other architecture teams have already dropped the 2.4 support and |

while this is not something we would like to do, we don't have the |

required manpower to keep it up to date. |

2.4 profile has been removed and the last stable mark in |

vanilla-sources-2.4 will follow the same way (although we will keep the |
| 11 |
~alpha). |

If there is someone still using 2.4 with Gentoo, please let us know and |

we will see what can we do to move to 2.6. |
