Hmmm, that feels like a non-bash (or ancient bash) trying to execute the script somehow. Perhaps the PATH isn't set well at this stage. Weird enough the bootstrap-prefix.sh in the tree doesn't have "Setting up portdir" in it at all. Maybe you can try to replace your script with the latest from http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/alt/browser/trunk/prefix-overlay/scripts/bootstrap-prefix.sh?format=txt -- Fabian Groffen Gentoo on a different level -- gentoo-alt@l.g.o mailing list
