6 Where is your portage tree? Did you rsync the gentoo-x86 tree by
7 chance? Set
8 SYNC="rsync://rsync.prefix.freens.org/gentoo-portage-prefix" in
9 make.conf and run emerge --sync again (I hope it'll do that).
