Nice, let's find a place to host that stuff. |

Sounds like a good plan. Few notes from me on GMN annoucements: |
23 |
- Make sure hosting is on gentoo.org machines, or get a quotable |
24 |
statement that infra is unwilling/unable to do so, this is important |
25 |
for backstabbing afterwards. I do NOT want to host anything on |
26 |
non-Gentoo hardware, but am forced to if Gentoo does not/can not host |
27 |
it for me/us. Time to file another infra bug first. |
28 |
- Make sure you properly balance what you promise and what you get. |
29 |
Installers are really great, and probably helping a lot of people into |
30 |
a working system, but remember that Gentoo Prefix as project is still |
31 |
"Beta". Use at your own risk. There is no GLEP, there is no formal |
32 |
specification, and there is no final "Prefix" blueprint. |
33 |
- Be prepared for a lot of FUD and an avalanche of people |
34 |
("Windows"...), make sure whatever you write, you don't suggest to |
35 |
deliver any support apart from what you are planning to put into it |
36 |
yourself. Getting KDE on Windows is "technically" possible, however |
37 |
"doing" it, is another story. |
38 |
|
39 |
Long story short, please be extremely careful. |
