Sounds like a good plan.  Few notes from me on GMN annoucements:
- Make sure hosting is on gentoo.org machines, or get a quotable
  statement that infra is unwilling/unable to do so, this is important
  for backstabbing afterwards.  I do NOT want to host anything on
  non-Gentoo hardware, but am forced to if Gentoo does not/can not host
  it for me/us.  Time to file another infra bug first.
- Make sure you properly balance what you promise and what you get.
  Installers are really great, and probably helping a lot of people into
  a working system, but remember that Gentoo Prefix as project is still
  "Beta".  Use at your own risk.  There is no GLEP, there is no formal
  specification, and there is no final "Prefix" blueprint.
- Be prepared for a lot of FUD and an avalanche of people
  ("Windows"...), make sure whatever you write, you don't suggest to
  deliver any support apart from what you are planning to put into it
  yourself.  Getting KDE on Windows is "technically" possible, however
  "doing" it, is another story.

Long story short, please be extremely careful.
