Subject: Bootstrap issues on Mac
Date: Sat, 07 Mar 2009 22:24:24 -0500
I tried to install Gentoo Prefix today and got most of the way there,
but when I reached the "emerge -e system" step,
perl-core/Test-Harness-3.16 failed to emerge with the following error:

 >>> Install Test-Harness-3.16 into
/Users/cshei/Gentoo/var/tmp/portage/perl-core/Test-Harness-3.16/image/Users/cshei/Gentoo/
category perl-core
make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.

I'm on Mac OS 10.5.6. I also noticed that during the Perl install, it
said
"/Users/cshei/Gentoo/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/perl-5.8.8-r5/temp/environment:
line 2376: cd: /usr/include/linux: No such file or directory" - could
this be related? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also, I noticed that Gnome was masked on the Mac - is it truly broken,
or has nobody ever tried installing it?
