Hi, |
2 |
|
3 |
Yes, sorry for mixing things up: octave ought to be the next step, I |
4 |
actually tried gnuplot only. |
5 |
|
6 |
Both (gentoo and macports) are gnuplot 4.2.3. The patches from gentoo |
7 |
do not seem to remove anything, and configure does say it will put |
8 |
aqua in, so that is confusing. The default terminal are all present. I |
9 |
did not try compiling with USE=X (I do not want X) and I compiled |
10 |
gnuplot from macports with the 'no_x11' variant so that the X11 |
11 |
terminal is not available there either. |
12 |
|
13 |
The Portfile uses |
14 |
configure.cflags-append '-DDEFAULTTERM=\\"aqua\\"' |
15 |
but this was only useful in previous versions of gnuplot. I tried to |
16 |
add it in the ebuild, too, but it did not change anything as expected. |
17 |
Apart from that, gentoo provides a few more patches, but nothing |
18 |
dealing with aqua/aquaterm. |
19 |
|
20 |
The Portfile also uses more options: --with-readline=gnu --with-gd -- |
21 |
with-png --with-pdf |
22 |
|
23 |
I just tried to compile gnuplot with the USE="pdf" and pdflibs fails, |
24 |
too, so I report it here as well: |

I only installed gentoo on ~/Library/Gentoo, only one prefix on my |
50 |
computer. |
51 |
|
52 |
Thank you for helping! BTW, the forum on gentoo.org is pretty dead, |
53 |
you could maybe make a sticky directing people to the mailing list. |

Best Regards, |
