A "hunk" is just a group of lines that need to be changed. When groups
are distant from each other, multiple "hunks" are made to reflect the
groups. I guess this is bad, but you can see how far you get. If it
compiles it probably is ok. Sidenote, that tar is pretty old, but
that's up for haubi to see if updating it helps.
