ALl I get is an underline (cursor presumably) in the top left corner of the |

screen and nothing else. Its not responsive to keyboard and I have to power |
| 33 |
cycle to get the machine back. |

In my user account I can "startx" which is what I'm using now. |

I hated switching from kdm which was reliable, to sddm which seems |

extremely flaky. |

I tried switching to lightDM but the lightdm-kde-greeter is not in the |

gentoo software list yet, only the lightdm-gtk-greeter which seems to be |
| 40 |
gnome. |

Does anyone have any hints on how to either fix sddm or find out why it |

doesn't work? |
