17 One of the patches in glibc 2.3.6-r3 broke hardened on amd64 but 2.4-r1
18 should work. You'll need 2.4 for a hardened gcc 4 system anyway. I'm
19 running a hardened x86 system with gcc 4.0 (rebuilding with 4.1 right
20 now) and glibc 2.4 on my server so it's probably an amd64 specific issue.
