I have a 3400+ and I didn't have any problems with Ubuntu, Fedora, or |
14 |
Gentoo. Does Windows run on it okay? Is it the 64-bit version of XP or |
15 |
the 32-bit? |

Personally, I don't trust PM to build my linux partitions. I've never |
35 |
had a ton of luck with it. Maybe it's just me, but I would have just |
36 |
shrunk the Windows partition and left a bunch of free space on the drive |
37 |
to have gentoo (or any other distro) build the partitions for me. I |
38 |
dislike a Windows app doing anything with linux partitions. |

You also never said what kind of HDD you have or it's size. I don't |
41 |
think it's a CPU issue, but it might be, I still think it's a HDD issue. |
