Thanks for the input about the udev situation. I screwed up and did a |

stage3 install, and now the system works as a charm. But before that did |

I sync; after that, deleted the ebuild and tried again, then I did a |

digest of the ebuild, and that worked, but somewhere on the way the |
| 5 |
system broke, i guess i shouldn't. But now i'm happy again with a brand |
| 6 |
new gentoo system. |
