6 Starting around Win2K, all that is needed is a small DOS/FAT partition at
7 the beginning of the disk - 128 MB or so. And a suitable primary
8 partition that is a number of 1 to 4.

10 And I think it could also be on a second drive, as long as the the
11 first partition of the first drive was bootable and contained the
12 Windows boot loader.

14 fwiw - One of my systems has Win2K on the second partition of the primary
15 drive, with Win98SE on the first partition of the primary drive and Gentoo
16 on the second drive. No problems with the booting.
