17 I've thought that if I were to do a 32-bit chroot, the difference between
18 a directly bootable chroot and one that only works as a chroot is only a
19 few packages, so I'd probably make it directly bootable just on principle.

21 I hadn't made the connection between that and this discussion, however, so
22 you get major points here for making it. It's not as all-or-nothing as I
23 was thinking, because when the time comes, that 32-bit install easily
24 becomes a 32-bit chroot, saving having to setup one from scratch.

26 Of course, folks like me would then want to rearrange the partitions a
27 bit, but given today's 200 gig plus hard drives, copying a few partitions
28 around is easier than setting up a new installation from stage-X.
