25 The multiplier, in part, determines the speed of the processor. With an
26 unlocked multiplier, the user is freer to play with combinations of bus
27 frequency and multiplier for the purpose of overclocking the processor. On
28 processors with locked multipliers, one's overclocking options are limited to
29 those features included in the motherboard's BIOS - usually that means that
30 fsb frequency and, in the case of AMD's x64 processors, hypertransport
31 frequency are the only factors one can change.
