Subject: udevd event find_free_number?
Date: Mon, 03 Apr 2006 20:43:51 -0400
When booting, I get an error message that "find_free_number" doesn't
work, will be removed, and shouldn't be used. I've googled, but the
best I can find is something on a debian list to the effect of, "Yes,
that's right. Don't use it."

My question is, how do I disable it? I don't find any mention in man
udev{,d}, not in any file in /etc/udev, the initscripts or in
hot/coldplug's conf files.
