17 In general, (-flag) indicates that the referred to USE flag is hard masked
18 by your profile, which happens when it can't be made to work.

20 mono apparently doesn't compile as 64-bit code yet, so it's masked on
21 the amd64 profiles.

23 You have four choices. If you are a developer type, investigate helping
24 port mono to amd64. If you aren't or simply aren't interested in that,
25 consider the not unusual on Gentoo-amd64 32-bit x86 arch chroot solution.
26 Choice three is copying all the necessary binaries from a 32-bit machine,
27 preferably into /usr/local/* or the like, to prevent overwrite issues and
28 help keep tracking the stuff you've added apart from portage a bit easier.
29 Lastly, you can decide it's not worth the hassle and just do without,
30 until there's a proper 64-bit solution available.
