13 As mentioned elsewhere, the question is what your mobo/CPU(s) support(s).
14 Note in particular that many AMD64 chips require registered memory, which
15 is significantly more expensive than unregistered memory. A few of the
16 newer CPUs eliminate this requirement, but I haven't been tracking close
17 enough to know if they've actually shipped yet or when they started, if so.

19 In any case, be sure to check whether your system requires registered
20 memory or not, and be sure to get registered memory, if it does, because
21 if you don't, it /won't/ work, tho due to the hardware requirements,
22 nothing to do with Gentoo or Linux.
