I was actually looking over the shoulder of someone playing with this at
linuxconf.au during a presentation by Keith Packard on 3D mouse location
transformations in Xorg a few weeks ago and going Wow. Only just spotted
the link after a catchup on the xorg list traffic.

This stuff really blows away the eyecandy on the OS X and Window Vista
desktops.

It'd be cool if someone could build this thing on their laptop and demo
it at a LUGS meeting. Any volunteers?
