Hi all, |
2 |
|
3 |
Currently, it is nearly impossible to have a pure stable system with |
4 |
Gentoo/AMD64. I think everybody who has ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=amd64 in his |
5 |
make.conf also has a rather large list of packages in |
6 |
/etc/portage/packages.keywords. To adress this issue, we need either a |
7 |
massive improvement in amount of menpower or a list of packages we can |
8 |
to focus on. If you run a stable system and you're interested in helping |
9 |
us from a long-term point of view, you could get in contact with hparker |
10 |
(hparker@g.o), our Arch Testers Lead. If you don't know what Arch |
11 |
Testers aka ATs are, you probably want to read this doc [1] first. |
12 |
However, if you don't want to become an AT, but still want to contribute |
13 |
something to the development, please email me the content of your |
14 |
/etc/portage/package.keywords to blubb@g.o. The data will only be |
15 |
used to create a list of packages which are considered more important |
16 |
than others. It will *not* be used for any other type of statistics, the |
17 |
whole procedure will be totally anonymous. |
18 |
|
19 |
Thanks in advance! |
