I have tried xset dpms force off on my computer, the screen changed to |

blank but the monitor is not off, its power led is still green... |

Moving the mouse regenerates the screen, and no warnings are given by |

the command. It's as if all were ok. |

On my wife's computer, (a Debian Linux), the same command switches off |

her monitor. The computers are approximatly the same. |
