The original FX the FX-51 which I have was the 939 or 940 pin (Sorry |

can't remember which) processor as opposed to the 768 pin or some such |

number (Sorry I don't remember that either) The 939 started out as the |

regulaer Operton with smp support disable to a degree if my memory is |
| 17 |
right. The main advantage that I saw was that it had dual channel |
| 18 |
memory support where the 768 pin only had single channel memory |
| 19 |
support. Now things might have changed over the past 2 years and both |
| 20 |
might have dual channel memory support now. I haven't stayed on top of |
| 21 |
all the new processors since I am not in the market for a new one yet. |

I purchased mine about 3 months after they where originally released. |
