It is already useable, I made (ehm, copied) an ebuild for x11-7.0 in
virtual/x11 overlay and eventually managed to compile everythig but
nvidia-config (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114649)
I also made a little script to help unmask all the packages needed,
anyway it is a process quite tedious :-)
