1 probably df is reporting information per "mounted filesystem" which includes
2 both partitions /dev/hda3 and /dev/hda1 (mounted as /mnt/gentoo and
3 /mnt/gentoo/boot respectively but still only one "mounted filesystem") and
4 this is not a problem.
