44741 frames in 5.0 seconds = 8948.200 FPS
56631 frames in 5.0 seconds = 11326.200 FPS
45769 frames in 5.0 seconds = 9153.800 FPS
45602 frames in 5.0 seconds = 9120.400 FPS
57139 frames in 5.0 seconds = 11427.800 FPS

Then for grins I ran it again and maximized the window (filled one of 
the two monitors)
within the first 5 seconds:

royw-gentoo etc # glxgears
35083 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7016.600 FPS
4027 frames in 5.0 seconds = 805.400 FPS
4037 frames in 5.0 seconds = 807.400 FPS
4036 frames in 5.0 seconds = 807.200 FPS
4034 frames in 5.0 seconds = 806.800 FPS
