Subject: [gentoo-announce] New category x11-themes and other things

Hello Everybody,

In an ongoing effort to model the best possible organisation of the
portage tree, I am pleased to announce a new category: x11-themes. The
purpose of this category will be to contain, well, themes :)

To this end, the existing themes in portage have been migrated. In
particular:

x11-misc/mosfet-liquid-widgets
app-misc/gtk-theme-switch
x11-wm/sawfish-themes
x11-libx/gtk-engines
x11-libs/gtk-thinice-engine
x11-libs/gtk-thinice-theme
x11-libs/crux

all have a new home in x11-themes.

In order to upgrade your personal emerges, please do the following:

  # emerge sync --clean

to get the latest portage tree. The --clean option will ensure that
stale ebuilds are being removed from your local tree.

   # emerge --pretend unmerge <your_app>

Without the --pretend option, this will remove your app.

   # emerge --pretend x11-theme/<your_app>

And this will remerge the correct version.

As all future releases of these applications will be made in the new
category this upgrade is recommended.

Also, please note that app-misc/xscreensaver has been moved to
x11-misc/xscreensaver, so please follow the above steps analogously to
upgrade your personal emerges.

Sorry for the short term inconvenience, but this will serve us all better
in the long-term.

Thanks,
