A new 2.4.18 Gentoo Linux kernel has been released and is now on rsync
and will soon be on anoncvs. This new kernel includes:
Linux 2.4.18
Andrea Archangeli's 2.4.18-rc4-aa1 patch
(2.4.18-rc4 is identical to 2.4.18)
This includes the latest Andrea VM code and lots more stuff
A recent XFS implementation has been integrated as well
Andrew Morton's read-latency2 patch
Safely enhances multiple disk IO performance
DRM 4.2 from http://dri.sourceforge.net
The latest DRM stuff for Xfree86 4.2.0 has been integrated
ACPI
The latest ACPI patch (acpi-20020214-2.4.17.diff.gz from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/acpi) has been integrated.
Mandrake patches
A simple one-liner bootmem fix has been included from the
latest cooker kernel.
