The vast numbers of new Gentoo Linux users have started to overwhelm our |

main rsync server -- earlier today we had 59 syncs running |
| 5 |
simultaneously! To help alleviate this problem, we've set up a DNS |
| 6 |
round-robin system so that rsync load is distributed over our |
| 7 |
much-appreciated rsync mirrors. To take advantage of our rsync mirrors, |
| 8 |
add the following line to your /etc/make.conf: |

SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" |

| 12 |
If you would like to host an rsync mirror on a server with a decent |
| 13 |
amount of bandwidth, please email me (drobbins@g.o) and I'll show |

you how. The more, the merrier. |
