Hello council members! |
2 |
|
3 |
Where do I find the authoritative version of PMS? The version in the git |
4 |
repository doesn't have EAPI1 documentation and is outdated. |
5 |
|
6 |
In contrast to that, the repository on http://svn.repogirl.net/pms has |
7 |
EAPI1 documentation, is current and being worked on. |
8 |
|
9 |
Even if the git repository was updated again now, we would still only be |
10 |
mirroring the place where it's really developed and none of those working |
11 |
on PMS are able (non-dev) or willing to keep git updated. |
12 |
|
13 |
On the other hand, I know that interested Gentoo devs who want to |
14 |
contribute to PMS could get commit access to the repogirl repository. |
15 |
|
16 |
So, do we really need two repositories? I don't really think it makes much |
17 |
sense to require to host Gentoo stuff on Gentoo hardware but if we |
18 |
absolutely must keep that requirement, can we at least regularly import |
19 |
from the repository where PMS is actually being developed? |
