I got rid of "gailtreeview.c" errors and crashes by unmerging gail as well as |

libgail and at-spi which I unmerged at your direction and which got rid of most |

of the nasty crashes and freezes in gnome-panel. I get warnings from Gnome and |

gtk, but everything seems to be stable. |

I'll try to reach you tomorrow on FreeNode and see if you want to work on the |

memory de-allocation problems in at-spi. I'll have to re-emerge the two |

additional packages I've unmerged. |

Is the at-spi and gail stuff still maintained by Sun Microsystems? Will they |

fix a problem upstream in a reasonable time if you pin-point the code error? |

It's odd that I'm not seeing this particular problem on my laptop system |

(running Ubuntu Breezy Badger) which has at-spi 1.6.6. |
