Subject: [gentoo-desktop] Udev rules and kernel device names

Does anyone here know where one can find, on a running system, a definitive
list of device names currently known to the kernel which can be used as
KERNEL match targets in a udev rules file? The available names appear to be
a superset of the names in /proc/devices, but this list doesn't include all
of them. One can, for instance, match using KERNEL="hd*" but there are no
'hd*' entries in /proc/devices. udevinfo doesn't appear to be helpful in
this regard.
