Gnome Desktop's clock applet has a default setting that causes it to |
2 |
synchronize the time with a time server. If you use NTP, then its |
3 |
possible both are competing to set the systems time. |
4 |
|
5 |
In a perfect world, this would not be an issue, for everyone's clock |
6 |
servers would be matched. But if this was a perfect world, we wouldn't |
7 |
need to synchronize clocks, would we. |

|
9 |
I'm under the opinion that NTP is more accurate and that the clock |
10 |
applet (by defaulting to ONE clock server) has the potential to skew my |
11 |
clocks wrong. |

|
13 |
I'm using Clock 2.8.0.1 |
