List Archive: gentoo-desktop
So, xorg 6.8.0's finally out. And just a couple days later, security
holes are released. Now we've got 6.8.0-r1 (will be ~arch), 6.7.0-r2
(will be stable) and xfree-4.3.0-r7 (will be stable).
Whichever X you use (xorg ~arch, xorg stable or xfree), please have a
run at these. The bug is at
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64152. Please only post to it if
you have problems RELATED to THIS BUG.
On the upside, 6.8.0 has a bunch of nice features. I'd like to add
another nice one soon: 3D acceleration for Savage cards in 6.8.0-r2. I
haven't figured out what else will be going in there yet. Suggestions
are welcome as long as they're good enough to go upstream, as well as
solutions general enough to go upstream.
Thanks,
