I've had all kinds of CD burning issues recently, with both 2.4 and 2.6
kernels and Gentoo. On the same machine, Debian-based Knoppix seems to
work. I haven't had a chance to try and figure out exactly what's
broken. I mostly use K3B for burning ISO images and XCdroast for copying
CDs. Incidentally, Knoppix does use SCSI emulation on the CD drives and
I haven't been able to get that to work with Gentoo. I did roam through
the Bugzilla database looking for clues, but didn't find anything. Is
there a Gentoo "CD SCSI Emulation" howto somewhere?
