Today we're getting a new developer: Joining us from the capital of |
2 |
Poland, Warsaw, we have Paweł "phajdan.jr" Hajdan. This is the guy who |
3 |
brought us the precious ebuilds for Chromium, "a nice web browser" how |
4 |
he liked to put it. He will primarily be working on this one -- both as |
5 |
upstream and ebuild maintainer. Furthermore he also says he plans to |
6 |
maintain logcheck, peazip, gimp-lpr-plugin and some admin tools. |
7 |
|
8 |
Though he is still very young, he already knows a bunch of languages: He |
9 |
can "program comfortably in Python, PHP, C, and C++, and knows enough of |
10 |
bash, sed, and awk to use them frequently in normal situations". Apart |
11 |
from that, he does web development, including w3c-compliant HTML and |
12 |
CSS, JavaScript, popular JS frameworks like jQuery, Prototype and |
13 |
scriptaculous. |
14 |
|
15 |
Here is how he further describes himself: "I'm studying Computer |
16 |
Science, and I expect to get a BS degree in 2010. I'm a scout, and I'm |
17 |
interested in general sciences, and history. I'm not a fan of any soccer |
18 |
team, but I like playing soccer with friends and watching the matches |
19 |
when the Polish representation is playing". |
20 |
|
21 |
In addition to that he's also interested in security, which is why I'll |
22 |
lure him into the security team as soon as he's comfortable with being a |
23 |
Gentoo developer. |
24 |
|
25 |
Please give him a warm welcome, |
26 |
Tobias |
