Robin,
One thing I think I spotted. Your X server problems... You are using
the Nvidia provided drivers, aren't you? When you upgrade your kernel, don't
forget to re-emerge the nvidia-kernel package. I am not sure about your usb
mouse however.

Hi all,

I have tried to get this to work

First I tried switching on nearly all the new stuff, except the stuff I
obviously was never going to use.

X refused to start, all I got was a blank screen.

Then I tried using my 2.4.19 config with preempt and the low latency
scheduling.

Now my USB mouse refuses to work and I have 'funny' messages in my
startup.

I have attached the output of dmesg.

Can anyone help??

Many Thanks,

Robin
