As Jakub pointed out in #88580 (https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88580), killsoft retired and no one stepped up to maintain this package. As the package _currently_ in portage is completely broken, and has no maintainer, current guideline is to either find a new maintainer or *remove* it from the tree.
