Hello. |
2 |
|
3 |
I've been thinking it over, and wondering if it might well be more |
4 |
advantageous to use a file with per-package USE flags rather than one |
5 |
set of USE flags. This would allow, for instance, some packages to be |
6 |
built with certain options while keeping the same options shut off in |
7 |
other packages. |
8 |
Of course, there could always be a global section, for convenience. |
9 |
Additionally, it would be clearer what each flag does, since it could be |
10 |
explained per package, which reflects the nature of the build options |
11 |
in a package. |
12 |
Just a thought. |

"Asked by CollabNet CTO Brian Behlendorf whether Microsoft will enforce its |
18 |
patents against open source projects, Mundie replied, 'Yes, absolutely.' |
19 |
An audience member pointed out that many open source projects aren't |
20 |
funded and so can't afford legal representation to rival Microsoft's. 'Oh |
21 |
well,' said Mundie. 'Get your money, and let's go to court.' |
