6 I'm afraid you missed the point here then :) emerge -pf will pull from the
7 gentoo mirrors if the tarball is there before trying the actual path in the
8 SRC_URI of the ebuild. My point was to look and see what ebuilds could only
9 survive *because* there was a cached copy on the mirror. So if tomorrow the
10 mirrors are all wiped out because the
11 anti-mirror-new-year's-day-massacre occurs (please, please, that is a
12 joke) we have a heads up that there will be at least a few ebuilds that will
13 simply stop working - or at least a few versions (foo-1.2 vs foo-2.0).
