The OpenAFS ebuilds have been unmaintained for more than a year now. Even |

though ebuilds and patches have been submitted in Bugzilla, only trivial |
| 5 |
ebuild changes have been made in portage. This is especially of concern |
| 6 |
because the version of OpenAFS in Portage is incompatible with 2.6 |
| 7 |
kernels. |

If the current developers are unable or unwilling to apply |
| 10 |
patches to the OpenAFS ebuilds, perhaps someone new should be given the |
| 11 |
task. Several people have submitted patches for OpenAFS to Bugzilla, and a |
| 12 |
few have volunteered to maintain it. I might suggest that one of these |
| 13 |
people could be given the task of maintaining OpenAFS. |
