I tried to build latest gentoo with gentoo-ix86-1.1a.iso |

under newly created virtual machine under vmware. |

It was success to boot, but when I tried to run fdisk there was no |

any sd* device under /dev, so to make it working I had to download MAKEDEV |
| 6 |
from another machine and made it manually. |

It would be nice if your iso will be setup to handle scsi devices too |

when build base system. |

Another problem is (probably because we are behind the firewall) there |
| 10 |
was unable to access and download portage using rsync. |

Last question is how to setup local gentoo source mirror for internal |
| 13 |
usage and how to setup portage to use it when build system? |
