betelgeuse@pena ~ $ grep javahelp -r /usr/portage/profiles/updates/ |
2 |
/usr/portage/profiles/updates/3Q-2004:move dev-java/javahelp |
3 |
dev-java/javahelp-bin |

|

Well nowadays Sun has put javahelp under GPL so now we have |
6 |
dev-java/javahelp again. The problem is that Portage now uses this old |
7 |
entry to rename the package back to javahelp-bin. |

|
9 |
betelgeuse@pena ~ $ qfile /usr/bin/jhindexer |
10 |
dev-java/javahelp-bin (/usr/bin/jhindexer) |

|
12 |
So should we make it a policy to remove old entries after some time, or |
13 |
make sure people check for old entries when adding new ones? zmedico |
14 |
also had some ideas on how to possible make Portage smarter wrt this. |
