I've been trying to install Gentoo for a couple of days now. |

All seems to go nicely and I get the system up and running but |

when I go to install KDE via |

the machine freezes up when it gets to compiling kdelibs. |

This is no a problem with your distribution but I was hoping you might have |

some suggestions as to a remedy. |

I'm running a 1 GHz Celeron (Coppermine) chip with 256 meg ram. |

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. So far I've only tried the stage three |
