Turn on spamassassin on your account.  As the -infra guys have said,
they have the tools available, they just will not enable them globally.

Personally, I use my own spamd/spamc setup on my local mail server, but
you can easily setup spamassassin to simply add a [SPAM] to the subject,
which you can filter on, or you can filter on the headers (does
Thunderbird allow this?) if possible.
