4 - Gentoo is sourced based first and foremost
5 - GRP is there to cover some of the big packages
6 - If you really want binary packages pls use another
7 distribution or try the grp packages if you haven't

9 Sometimes you need to ask yourself if you really need
10 to upgrade to the latest and greatest, or whether you
11 can wait for a big release. Hell, I've still got one
12 of my PCs running Gentoo 1.2 and it does everything I
13 need of it, so I'm not in a rush to upgrade.

15 I suppose I'm lucky as I have a nice big pipe out to
16 the internet at home and a meaty machine as my main
17 workstation so compiles are not too much of a hassle.
18 But at the end of the day I assume you choose Gentoo
19 because of its many good points, and being sourced
20 based is one of the main ones IMHO.

22 Pls, can we knock this one on the head and instead
23 look at helping out on the GRP effort.
