Is there someone in charge of looking at user-submitted ebuilds?
I am wondering if there is a use for a developer (very possibly
one without CVS access) who is in charge of looking at all the new
user-submitted ebuilds, giving them a sanity check, and then forwarding
them up to the logical maintainer of the package.
This seems like it might help get rid of part of the problem revolving
around ebuilds sitting in bugzilla and not being evaluated in any way.
