I don't mean the USE flags of the packages listed. I mean the USE flags of
packages you have installed that don't have updates. Even if you haven't
changed USE flags at all, that doesn't guarantee that the packages were built
with the default set.
Try emerge -evp world and emerge -gevp world and then note the differences.
